Self- care is something that is becoming more and more important as our lives continue to get busy. It’s an area that most people fall short in and honestly one of the last that we should slack in. Self-care is not just about pampering yourself or doing something nice to make yourself feel better. It is about making a conscious decision daily to nurture your mind, body and soul, to find those self-care activities that nurture those areas and then be intentional in engaging in them. With every effort you make, your authentic self will get stronger and you’ll see the anxiety ridden parts of you begin to get weaker. This is just one of the ways we can begin to take back control over our lives. Whether it be with the adding of boundaries, the listening to of our bodies or simply just owning our mental health, it can be done with the right accountability. It is my prayer that in my sharing of my own journey in this, I can help you to do the same. One day at a time.
